The playfulness of New Wave/ Pacific Punk Wave graphic design, renewed interest in furniture design experimentation post-Memphis Group/Eurostyle/Neo-Folk, Deco-Luxe, and the commercial popularization of abstract & surrealist art beginning in the late 1970s and early 1980s are all incorporated in this aesthetic.
