Namesake:
Portmanteau of “hexagon” and “Tron”, which references the ubiquitous hexagon grids that appear in this style, and Tron: Legacy (2010), the film where much of this aesthetic’s visual language crystallized.
The Sci-Fi Angular Future Aesthetic of the 10s - Hexagons, Neon Blue, Holograms, Terminal-inspired UIs, cyberpunk-adjacent visuals. Angular technology with heavy ornamentation, sometimes white and shiny like with Frutiger Aero but generally less clean, less curved.
